Air Admittance Valve Features
An air admittance valve admits air into a DWV system when negative pressure develops. Tuuber's design uses an upper seal and a lower seal, with a middle flow passage, external inlet opening, internal inlet filter, and NPT threads connection identified among the valve components. An AAV does not relieve positive pressure. Local code and manufacturer instructions control installation.

Dual-Seal Construction

Negative-Pressure Venting and Trap Protection
An AAV admits air when negative pressure develops in a DWV system, helping address trap siphonage.
